She currently serves as Head of Marketing at Liquid Intelligent Technologies, a leading pan-African technology group operating across 14 countries, primarily within Sub-Saharan Africa. In this role, she leads strategic marketing initiatives that support business growth, brand visibility, and market expansion across the continent.

Fathima’s extensive experience spans the African market, where she has worked with a broad range of local and international brands and organisations. Prior to joining Liquid Intelligent Technologies, she served as Vice President of Media Relations at APO Group. Earlier in her career, she held senior leadership positions as Senior Vice President and Group Account Director at two of the world’s largest public relations agencies, Edelman and Weber Shandwick. She also spent a decade with MultiChoice Group and DStv, contributing across Corporate Affairs and Broadcast Technology divisions. In addition, she dedicated seven years to the education sector, serving as a college principal.

Her professional credentials include a Bachelor of Administration degree from the University of KwaZulu-Natal, along with executive education through the Advanced Management Programme at Henley Business School and the Gordon Institute of Business Science in South Africa. She has also completed the Melcrum Accredited Internal Communicator Programme (Black Belt), further strengthening her expertise in strategic communication and organisational engagement.

Beyond her executive leadership roles, Fathima is actively involved in advancing the communications profession. She has served as a judge for the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) Gold and Silver Quill Awards and is a member of the IABC Africa Chapter. She also contributes as a judge and mentor for the Jack Ma Foundation, supporting entrepreneurship and leadership development.
